Iran President Shares 4,500-Year-Old Tree Image Amid Subtle Message

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has shared an image of a 4,500-year-old tree on social media, drawing widespread attention and sparking interpretations of a subtle political message.
Without directly naming US President Donald Trump, Pezeshkian posted the image on the social platform X, highlighting the historical depth of Iran’s civilization.
In his post, he described the tree, known as “Sarv,” as one of Asia’s oldest living organisms, estimated to be around 4,500 years old.
He further emphasized that this ancient tree has stood on land known as Iran for thousands of years, underscoring the country’s long and continuous historical identity.

The post comes in the context of a past diplomatic moment when Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted Donald Trump during a visit to China, where he showcased rare and historic trees in a restricted imperial garden.
During that visit, Xi Jinping highlighted trees aged up to 1,000 years, which Trump reportedly admired, praising the environment and its heritage.
Following Pezeshkian’s post, social media users reacted with a range of interpretations, with many suggesting that the message subtly referenced past remarks attributed to Trump regarding Iran.
Observers believe the post may symbolize Iran’s deep-rooted civilization and resilience in the face of external criticism or threats.
